The R.R. Smith Center is the perfect place for your special event. A former hotel, the beautifully renovated historic building is prominently located in the heart of historic downtown Staunton. Our conference and the Mevluda Tahirovic Memorial Garden provide unique and interesting settings for meetings, receptions and intimate parties. As well as parking on New Street, easily accessible parking is located directly across the street in Staunton’s New Street parking garage.

GARDEN
Looking for a spot that feels like a hidden escape? Tucked away right behind our art galleries, this quiet courtyard is the perfect break from the city noise. Whether you’re planning a wedding ceremony or a baby shower, your guests can hang out among the sculptures and greenery in the fresh air.
CAPACITY: Approximately 50 people
AMENITIES: patio chairs, tables, electricity, and outdoor lighting.
CONFERENCE ROOM
Our second-floor conference room is a great location for hosting your next team meeting or workshop. It’s tucked away so you can focus on your presentations and conversations in peace. Plus, we’ve got a catering kitchen just across the hall, making it super easy to grab lunch or keep the coffee flowing all day long.
CAPACITY: 30-50 people depending on furniture needs
AMENITIES: Newly designed AV system, remote meeting capabilities, conference tables, chairs, lecturn, white board. Ethernet and Wi-Fi capabilities.
Our catering kitchen is a great rentable amenity in company with one of our other spaces. This kitchen can be used to help cater your event whether you're looking to heat food, store food, or provide coffee and other beverages to your guests! This kitchen is located directly across from our lecture hall on the second floor so you don't have to travel very far if using both spaces.
